On Saturday August 15th , A lot of fish were caught but mostly short ones on crank baits, spinners, buzz baits and plastics. The majority were caught in deeper weed lines, some in shallow shore lines.The water temp was 72 to 76 degrees and stained with some clear water. The air temp was 85 degrees and sunny.1st place went to Chip with a five fish limit weighing in at 11.33 lbs,Great job Chip. 2nd place wwent to Charley with only three fish with a total of 8.96 lbs and Big Bass of the year to date weighing in at 5.21 lbs. 3rd place went to Tony also with five fish caught on the last cast.Weighing in at 8.15 lbs,Great job Tony. 4th place went to Donatas moving up the ladder each tournament with four fish weighing in at 7.08 lbs with one dead fish and a penalty of .20 ozs. 5th place went to Tom with one fish 1.76 lbs. 6th place was John with one fish 1.57 lbs.
On Sunday August 16th , all hopes were set on everyone catching a limit.Big fish were lost in the weeds and at the boat.The water temp was 72 to 76 degrees stained and parts were clear.The air temp was 75 degrees and windy with overcast and light rain.Again most of the fish were caught in deeper water on plastic and crank baits. No limits came to the scales but everyone did weigh in fish and also a lot of shorts. Donatas again in 1st place with four fish weighing in at 8.81 lbs and still moving up the ladder, Great job Don. 2nd place was Chip with three fish weighing in at 7.49 lbs and Big Bass 3.22 lbs. 3rd place was Tom with three fish 7.00 lbs also moving up the ladder making the points even closer. 4th place went to Tony with three fish weighing in at 6.56 lbs and possibly losing Big Bass in the water, sorry to here that,not! 5th place went to Charley with three fish weighing in at 5.81 lbs and holding onto second place overall,just cant catch the Chipper. 6th place went to Jason with three fish weighing in at 4.36 lbs. 7th place went to John with one fish weighing in at 2.01 lbs. Great job to all and the Wolf River should be a challenge and fun. See you on the water!
